1、Spatiotemporal evolution and driving factors of fertilizer reduction control in Zhejiang Province
Based on the panel data of county units (subjects) in Zhejiang Province during 2002–2016, this paper, via model of Cumulative Contribution and the decomposition model of Log-Mean Divisia Index, analyzes both cumulative contribution and spatiotemporal evolution of fertilizer reduction.
2、Occurrence of trace elements and antibiotics in manure
Occurrence of seven trace elements and forty three antibiotics was investigated in manure-based fertilizers in Zhejiang province of China. The trace elements included copper, zinc, arsenic, chromium, mercury, lead and cadmium; the targeted antibiotics included four groups: sulfonamides, tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones and chloramphenicols.
3、Improving Nitrogen Fertilization in Rice by Site
Field experiments and demonstration trials were conducted initially in Zhejiang province and gradually expanded to Guangdong, Hunan, Jiangsu, Hubei and Heilongjiang provinces. On average, SSNM reduced N fertilizer by 32% and increased grain yield by 5% compared with farmers’ N practices.
4、Effects of different fertilizers on methane emission from paddy field of Zhejiang, China
In this study, we aimed to determine methane emission rates during rice growing season in the Zhejiang paddy field, China and the effects different fertilizers produce.
5、Resorption proficiency and efficiency of leaf nutrients in woody plants in eastern China
We measured nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) concentrations in both green and senesced leaves of 172 woody species at 10 forest sites across eastern China.
Effects of rainfall and fertilizer types on nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations in surface runoff from subtropical tea fields in Zhejiang, China
Based on these results, if conventional chemical fertilizers can be replaced with organic or slow-release fertilizers in tea fields and fertilizer application can be done at a time when rain event is not anticipated for several days, losses of N and P in runoff may be significantly reduced.
Outsourcing Agricultural Production: Evidence from Rice Farmers in Zhejiang Province
This study aims to contribute to the limited but growing literature on agricultural outsourcing in China. Specifically, this study analyzes factors affecting farmers’ decisions to outsource any or some production tasks using data from rice farmers in Zhejiang province.
